Revenue diagnostics
We pull apart your revenue streams, pricing architecture and customer concentration to find the two or three changes that move margin fastest. Typical engagement length: six weeks.
Operational restructuring
When headcount grows but output doesn't, something structural is wrong. We map workflows, interview team leads and deliver a restructuring plan you can implement in 90 days.
Growth readiness audit
Thinking about outside investment, a second location or an acquisition? Our audit covers governance, financial controls, legal exposure and management depth so you know what to fix first.
Exit and succession planning
Founders who want to step back within five years need a plan now. We build one, including buyer profiling, valuation benchmarks and leadership transition timelines. "Started with Pinnacle eighteen months before my exit. The buyer's due diligence took three weeks instead of three months." — D. Hargreaves, former MD, Latchford Precision.
Board advisory retainer
Monthly sessions with your board or leadership team. We prepare briefing packs, challenge assumptions and track commitments between meetings. Retainers run in six-month blocks.
Engagement framework
| Dimension | Diagnostic (4–6 weeks) | Implementation (3–6 months) | Retainer (ongoing) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Strategy alignment | ✓ Gap analysis | ✓ Roadmap build | ✓ Quarterly review |
| Financial controls | ✓ Ratio review | ✓ Reporting redesign | On request |
| People and structure | ✓ Org-chart audit | ✓ Role redesign | ✓ Coaching sessions |
| Customer and market | ✓ Segment mapping | Scope dependent | ✓ Market watch briefs |
| Governance | Light review | ✓ Board pack design | ✓ Meeting facilitation |
Fees are project-scoped, not day-rate. Every engagement starts with a fixed-price diagnostic so you see the value before committing further.
Why local presence matters for consulting
Remote advice has its place. But when you need someone to sit with your production manager at 7 a.m. and understand why the night shift keeps missing targets, geography matters.
We are fifteen minutes from Priceworth town centre. Our consultants visit client sites weekly during active engagements, not quarterly.
"They were in our warehouse before I'd finished my coffee. That kind of proximity changed how quickly we could test ideas." — R. Okonkwo, operations director, Hartwell Logistics
How an engagement unfolds
Scoping call
A 30-minute conversation to understand the problem, the urgency and whether we are the right fit. No charge, no obligation.
Diagnostic proposal
Within five working days you receive a written proposal: scope, timeline, deliverables and a fixed fee. Most diagnostics cost between £4,000 and £12,000.
Fieldwork
We spend time on your premises, interview key people, review data and observe operations. Expect us to ask uncomfortable questions politely.
Findings report
A concise document — typically 15 to 25 pages — with prioritised recommendations, estimated impact and implementation difficulty ratings.
Decision point
You decide what happens next. Some clients implement independently. Others ask us to stay and help. Either way the diagnostic stands on its own.
What we have learned from 140 engagements
Since 2018 we have completed diagnostic or implementation work with 140 businesses in the Midlands, from three-person startups to firms turning over £45m. Some patterns keep appearing.
Most owner-managed businesses under-price by 8 to 15 per cent. They know it, but worry about losing customers. In practice, after repricing, client attrition averages under 4 per cent and gross margin jumps noticeably within one quarter.
Roughly half the firms we work with have no written strategy document. That is not always a problem — some small businesses thrive on instinct. But once headcount passes 20, the lack of a shared plan starts creating friction between departments.
The single most common quick win is cleaning up management reporting. When leaders can see weekly gross margin by product line instead of waiting for monthly accounts, decisions speed up dramatically.
Engagement snapshot
Priceworth sits at the intersection of manufacturing heritage and modern service-sector growth. Many of our clients operate in both worlds, which is exactly where consulting adds the most value.
Start with a conversation
Tell us what you are working on. We will respond within one business day to arrange a scoping call.
Is this a good fit?
We are a startup with no revenue yet. Can you help?
Honestly, probably not at this stage. Our work is most effective with businesses that already have revenue, customers and operational complexity. Pre-revenue startups benefit more from accelerator programmes or specialist startup advisors.
Do you work outside the Midlands?
Occasionally, yes. We have taken on projects in London, the South West and Yorkshire when the brief was a strong match. But our best work happens when we can visit your site regularly, so proximity helps.
How do you charge?
Fixed project fees, agreed before work begins. We do not bill by the hour. The diagnostic phase has its own fee; implementation is quoted separately once the diagnostic is complete and you have decided what to prioritise.
What industries do you specialise in?
We have the deepest experience in manufacturing, logistics, professional services and wholesale distribution. We have also worked with construction firms, healthcare providers and food producers. If your business has between 10 and 250 employees and operates in the UK, there is a reasonable chance we can help.
Can you just review our business plan?
Yes. A standalone business plan review takes about two weeks and costs between £2,500 and £5,000 depending on complexity. You get a written assessment with specific recommendations, not a rubber stamp.
